LeAnn Freeland has led the Sharks to three straight South Region titles and subsequent Elite Eight appearances, and is four wins shy of 100 in her four-year NSU career.
Last season, the Sharks were 27-6, earning Freeland her first SSC Coach of the Year nod. She was chosen for the same honor by Women's DII Hoops Bulletin.
Freeland is now 96-31 in Fort Lauderdale. Her overall win percentage of .737 is 11th among all Division II coaches and in the top 50 of all active coaches on any level.
